Dog Rules
1. The only dogs that will be allow in the pavilion are those with official participating rescue groups or dogs participating in a demonstration. There will be crates in a dog rest area outside the pavilion where your dog can wait for you.
2. Before crating your dog, check with a dog security volunteer who will issue you and your dog a number. All crates will be zip-tied closed and dogs will only be released to their owner by a dog security volunteer.
3. Only 2 dogs per rescue. Rescues must bring a crate for each dog. Someone must be supervising the rescue dogs at all times!
4. Dogs must be leashed and on secure collars or harnesses at all times! Do not use an extensible (Flexi) leash at the Bully Rally.
5. All owners bringing their own dog to the event must have a responsible adult handler for every dog. This means that one adult cannot bring two dogs.
6. Every owner who brings their own dog must sign a waiver of liability and acceptance of risk upon arrival in the park.
7. Do not bring female dogs in heat, dogs known to be human-aggressive, or dogs with uncontrollable dog aggression.
8. Do not allow dogs to play or wrestle, even if they live together or are not dog-aggressive. Such activities can cause other dogs nearby to become excited and over-stimulated.
9. Please respect each dog’s personal space. Ask a dog’s handler if it is ok before allowing your dog to approach another dog.
For all dogs attending the Bully Rally and LugNuts, the following is HIGHLY recommended:
- Spay or Neuter
- Flea/tick preventative
- Vaccinations:
- Rabies – REQUIRED by state
- DHLP – (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Para influenza)
- Parvo
- Bordatella – Sometimes referred to as Kennel Cough
Liability Waiver and Release of Risk
I certify that I am the owner of the dog registered above and my dog is current on vaccinations. I understand the potential risks involved in bringing my dog to the Bully Rally due to the unpredictable nature of dogs. I understand that I attend the Bully Rally with my dog at my own risk. I assume any and all expenses or liability for injuries that my dog may inflict upon any human or other pet while attending the Bully Rally. I agree to indemnify and hold Atlanta Underdog Initiative and its officers and volunteers harmless from any and all expenses and liability incurred as a result of injuries my dog inflicts upon any human or other pet while attending the Bully Rally. I release and hold Atlanta Underdog Initiative and its officers and volunteers harmless from any and all manner of damages, claims, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses, causes of action or suits, whatsoever in law or equity (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees and related costs) arising out of my attendance at the Bully Rally or participation in LugNuts with my dog, including, without limitation, any injury to my dog, destruction of property, dog bites and transmission of disease.
